Beans Poriyal
Ingredients
Beans - 200 gms
Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Dry red chilli slit - 2 nos
Curry leaves
Green chillies -2 nos
Shallots / Kunjulli chopped - 1 tbsp
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Salt as needed
Method
Cut beans in to 1/2 inch pieces.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and urad dal, Let it splutter. Now add curry leaves, dry red chillies and green chillies. Add chopped shallots and saute. Then add beans along with salt and mix well. sprinkle 1/4 cup of water on the beans. Now lower the heat and close the lid. Let it cook on low heat. When it is cooked, add grated coconut and stir well. Serve hot with rice, sambar, moru curry etc.
